Look who is 6 months old!

Yesterday Olivia turned 6 months old. She is so much fun, now. We had her 6 month check-up today. She weighs 14lbs 12oz and is 25 3/4 inches long.
On the premie charts she is in the 75% for height and 70% for weight. Technically she is a normal size baby, but because she had such and early start they still adjust her age. She is the adjusted age of 5 months, but developementally she is doing everything a 6 month old does.
She had to have 4 shots today and was so mad she turned purple.

Here she was starting her roll, but the camera died so I could not take the rest of the pictures of her going over all the way.
Needless to say she is absolutely perfect. :)

Ashlyn's new outift

We went shopping at Old Navy and Ashlyn picked out a new outfit for herself. It is sooo cute. Here she is modeling it for everyone to see.

Family Reunion Weekend

We spent time with Jacob's side of the family on Saturday . Olivia was able to see her Great Grandma for the second time.

Ashlyn was tired of playing with all the kids and wanted to spend time looking at her books.

We had a really good time playing badmitten for several hours.

Just to go on record my sister-in-law and I beat her husband and Jacob in a friendly game of 2 on 2. We finished the day off by going out to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. Very long day!

Happy 26th B-day!

One of my presents from Jacob and the girls was this glider. I love it for evening story time with Ashlyn and Olivia. Once I start rocking Olivia cannot keep her eyes open to save her life.
Thanks Mom for the flowers!

Bowman's Bay

It was a beautiful day out at Bowman's Bay today. Jake caught this picture of the steam coming off the tidal flats.

Ashlyn's play tent came in handy for the shade we needed to keep Olivia from getting burnt. She was able to kick back and sleep the day away while all of us played.

Ashlyn and Jake are fun to watch playing.

Ashlyn wanted to come back to where I was.

Here he was asking her " What is the problem?"

She was letting Jake know that she was "NOT" touching that crab thing!

Here they are walking the exact same.

Before church this morning Ashlyn posed for some photos.

Jake's new job

As most of you know, Jake was offered a job the State of Washington as a safety and health inspector. He accepted the position Mid-May and yesterday was his first day in the civilian work force. Commuting to Bellevue and getting to meet his new co-workers was interesting for him. It is a hard thing to transition from one mentality to another, but he is doing so well with all the changes. I, on the otherhand, have been an absolute basket case enough for both of us. So starts his training and traveling. He will be very busy over the next few months getting to know the ropes. We are so thankful that he is able to move from one career in the USCG to another career with the State with no lag time between.

Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. We are very excited for the future and cannot wait until the transition is finally over. We are still in the stages of the Medical Board for his back and hope to hear very soon the outcome.

What fun!

For the first time Ashlyn and Olivia were able to be in the bath together. It was a great photo-op. Olivia is really trying to sit-up on her own. Pretty soon she will be on the move all by herself.

Ashlyn is such a grown-up little girl. She cracks me up all the time with her silliness. Last weekend Ashlyn and I had a Mommy and Ashlyn day. We went to Shrek the Third, ate lunch together and went to the Mall to buy Ashlyn a big girl necklace and purse. The second we were done at the store she had to carry her purse on her shoulder all around the Mall. We had a great time and laughed a ton. It is hard to believe my first baby is almost four. I really do not know where the time went.

Look who is 5 months now. Olivia can almost roll over both ways. She loves to play and be on the floor. She even tries to move by scooting.
Olivia has discovered that when people leave the room they come rushing back when she screeches as loud as she possibly can. She is quite proud of the power she has on us. :)

Olivia decided that she is a hungry girl. She can now eat a whole size 1 of baby food along with a 6oz bottle of formula 2-3 times per day and then still has several more bottles during her day....... Here she enjoyed sweet potatoes all over herself. She gets so involved with her hands that I cannot keep her clean!
